Alentejo's Cheese Fair 2018

THE XVII Alentejo’s Cheese Fair 2018 took place in Serpa from February 23 to 25, at the Fair and Exhibition Park of Serpa.


With thousands of visitors, the fair is already a reference for the region and integrates the strategy of economic development of the municipality. Here, the agro-products of the region are always promoted, with special emphasis on Serpa Cheese. Cheeses from all over the country also take place in this event.


In addition to the stands of the various producers, the cheese fair is a way to make known Serpa cheese with varied activities throughout the three days. Practical cooking workshops with cheese, the Fair Cheese Contest, cheese making workshop, shearing demonstration, sheep competition and city tour, workshop of shepherding dogs and BTT-Cheese Route were some of the ways to divulge and give to try this product of excellence.


The project Queijo Serpa – Impulso à Internacionalização was present during the fair through the Aproserpa Stand with information and contact information available to the various producers that were present.
